DGB and Histadrut chairpersons celebrated 40 years of excellent cooperation since the signature of bilateral Agreements between the DGB and the Histadrut. On that occasion the Histadrut and FES Israel initiated a festive celebration with the participation of Histadrut Chairman, Avi Nissenkorn, DGB-Chairman, Reiner Hoffman and FES Deputy-Chairman, Michael Sommer.

After the warm greetings by Michael Sommer and Dr. Werner Puschra, speeches were held by Michael Sommer, Dov Ben-Meir (pioneer in the establishment of relations between the Trade Unions of both countries) and Yael Elnatan (a representative of the Noar HaOved VeHalomed – Youth Movement of the Histadrut).

The second part of the evening focused on a moderated discussion with Avi Nissenkorn and Reiner Hoffman about present and future of bilateral relations between Germany and Israel and the challenges Trade Unions are facing in both countries.
