Closing Session Leadership Course Tamra 1On December 12 the closing session of the Young Leadership Course in Arab Society took place in Tamra. The central topic chosen for the Event was “Voluntary Work as Social Leverage”. Speakers at the Conference were Dr. Thabet Abu Rass, Co-Director Abraham Fund Initiatives and Dr. Suhail Diab, Mayor of Tamra and Judith Stelmach, Project Manager at the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Israel.

The goal of the Leadership Course is to train young people from Arab Society interested in political activities to become involved politically, to take an active part in the formation of the Arab society in Israel, to develop independent initiatives and to demonstrate Leadership – on a local and national level.

This is the third year that the Leadership Course, a common project of the Abraham Fund Initiatives and the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Israel, is being organized. The present Leadership Course was the fifth Course to successfully complete the training cycle.
