Shvilim is a program carried out by Berl Katznelson Foundation in cooperation with Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Israel. It addresses young political leaders of different sectors in Israeli society that are not in any case traditionally associated with Social Democracy. The course, which is conducted by experts from Berl Katznelson Foundation, is meant to strengthen the participants’ foundations of social democratic values and give them tools to express their opinions in their own communities and beyond.
After 10 half-day meetings and a two days seminar, the course, in which 20 highly motivated and dedicated people participated, came to its conclusion. However, it was only the beginning of the participant’s political work: They are now part of a network of graduates who have the means to confidently influence the socio-political discourse within Israeli society.
