The central organization behind that Conference was the Forum for Economics Students, which has been established in 2007 with the goal of creating an economic critical and creative dialogue on University Campuses, to expose students to economic relevant issues in Israeli society and to create a better understanding of economic reality amongst the students. Today the Forum for Economics Students is member in two international organizations ISIPE and Rethinking Economics, both of them actively involved in numerous countries all over the world in intitiatives for pluralism in Economics.
MK Yair Lapid, former Finance Minister was the first speaker, followed by Students representing their Research work about Economics Studies in Israel.
Following the presentation of the Research was a Panel on the subject of Economics Studies in Israel, in which well-known experts in the field of Economics participated.
The closing lecture was held by Prof. Steve Keen, from Kingston University, London, who presented an alternative dynamic approach to economic modeling.
