On Friday, 25.03.2022, the 46-course participants of the “Progressive Economists Program” presented their project results in short presentations to their fellow students, mentors and experts from the socio-economic field.

The program “Progressive Economists” is organized by the Social Economic Academy in cooperation with the Berl Katznelson Foundation and the FES Israel and enables students from Tel Aviv University, the Ben Gurion University of the Negev as well as the Hebrew University of Jerusalem to implement socio-economic projects in cooperation with institutions of the public sector.

Partners include the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Economy, and the Ministry of Internal Security, as well as the Eastern Negev Association of Municipalities and the Office of the Prime Minister. This year, the students presented, among other things, a study examining the outsourcing of social services to municipalities. Other working groups examined models of social housing in various countries and their applicability to Israel or calculated the economic added value of sports in schools.
Following the project presentations, the results were discussed and, where necessary, suggestions for improvement were made.

We are very pleased about the great commitment of this year’s participants and wish all of them successful completion of the projects.
