Security was the central topic of the journey. For this purpose, the parliamentarians met representatives of the regional administration, civil security and the IDF in the border region of the Gaza strip.

Another focus was set on an exchange with Israeli representatives in the field of cyber security. In a meeting with MK Nachman Shai, the chairman of the Israeli-German parliamentary group, the delegation also discussed questions of cooperation between the sister parties Avoda and SPD and the state of social democracy in Germany and Israel.
