The EMDA course (English: standpoint) was opened on the 25th of September at Beit Berl Academic College in cooperation with the Beit Yigal Alon, the Berl Katznelson Foundation, the World Zionist Organization and the Shalom Hartman Institute. The course addresses young tutors of pre-army and leadership academies, which young Israelis often visit after they finish school but before they start their military service. The course consists of 12 meetings which are spread over six months. The participants, who teach in different academies, will not only improve their pedagogic skills but furthermore discuss specific contents regarding the Israeli society, particularly the Jewish-Arab relations and social justice in Israel.
