The EMDA Course (English: standpoint), which has been conducted in cooperation with the Beit Yigal Alon, the Berl Katznelson Foundation, the World Zionist Organization and the Shalom Hartman Institute, came to a festive conclusion in Beit Berl on July 20th. It addressed young tutors of pre-army and leadership academies, which young Israelis often visit after they finish school but before they start their military service.

Lasting from September 2016 until July 2017, the course was comprised of 11 single-day events and one intensive two-day seminar. The 22 participants from various academies received not only education in their pedagogic skills but furthermore discussed specific contents regarding the Israeli society, particularly the Jewish-Arab relations and social justice in Israel.
