workshop-karen-young-5On December 29th th FES Israel Office was happy to welcome MITVIM – The Israeli Institute for Regional Foreign Policies who presented a workshop by Dr. Karen Young, the Senior resident scholar of the Arab Gulf States Institute in Washington DC regarding the interventionist Turn in Gulf Foreign Policies and the Economic Divers of Change.

The main issues of the discussion were the economical situation of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and its member states since the Arab Spring and the most important trends of the Arab Policy, such as the increased willingness of military intervention in regional conflicts.

About 20 participants joined the workshop and the discussion with Karen E. Young.
