We are pleased to announce a call for the fifth round of the “Greenhouse Women” project. The project supports female Israeli film-makers in the development of documentary films. It is organized by the New Fund for Cinema and Television in collaboration with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.

„Greenhouse Women“ was established by the New Fund for Cinema and Television in 2014 with the goal to support emerging female filmmakers from different religious, ethnic and cultural groups within Israeli society as they develop powerful documentary films. The program aims to foster cross-cultural dialogue and community-building among women filmmakers committed to social change and to making an impact within and beyond their own communities. It wishes to promote the values of mutual understanding and respect, equality and peace through the development of high-impact films made by women filmmakers that illuminate pressing issues affecting our society and provide diverse women’s perspectives.

The program has been partnered by the FES from day one and is a unique opportunity for emerging female filmmakers.

=> Application Deadline: Tuesday, May 1, 2018
