The international conference on “World of Work in the Digital Era” and “The Economic Benefit and Social Value in Employing Persons with Disablilities” – took place on the 13th and 14th of September at the Tel Aviv University. It was organized by the International Labour Organization – ILO and the IIRRA – Israeli Industrial Research Relations Association in cooperation with FES Israel.

Representatives of the social-partners, the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs and Social Services, the Histadrut (trade union) and the Manufacturers Association of Israel (MIA) were discussing challenges and possible methods of resolution concerning the digitalization in the working world. Another important agenda item was the obstacle for people with disabilities in the labour market. In this context concepts of integration of this group in the workplace were discussed.

The findings of the lively debates will be summarized and presented among others to the Director-General, Guy Ryder, of the ILO.
