What is left of the Left 1FES Israel and the HCGES – The Haifa Center for German and European Studies invite you to the upcoming international Conference “What is left of the Left – Alternatives for a progressive social-democratic platform in Israel, Europe and the US“.

The two-day conference, organized by the FES-Israel and the HCGES – The Haifa Center for German and European Studies in Haifa, dealt with the question „What is left of the left? – Alternatives for a progressive social-democratic platform in Israel, Europe and the US“.

The conference brought together international and Israeli politicians, experts, activists and politically interested public to debate about the development and current problems of social democracy. During five workshops the historical changes, challenges and future perspectives of leftwing parties in Israel, Europe and the US were critically analyzed and discussed.

Detailed information regarding the topics and the speakers of the conference can be found in the program overview and on the conference’s website. Furthermore a publication about the panels and the precise content of the conference will be released.
