People First is a program co-organized by FES Israel that addresses young political leaders from the social democratic spectrum. The current course of People First is meant to strengthen the participants’ foundations of social democratic values and give them tools for active political involvement. Thereby, it aims especially at bringing back social issues to the political discourse of the Israeli society.

While the 15 participants of the course all come from different parts of the country, the majority is now in their last year of High School or in a voluntary year before the beginning of their military service. By the summer of 2020, the young activists will have 14 meetings in the educational center Givat Haviva, discussing current topics of Israeli society and the chances of left politics in Israel.
