FES Israel organized the workshop in cooperation with the Center for Social Justice and Democracy in Memory of Yaakov Chazan and the Contemporary Turkish Studies Forum at the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute.

The aim of this workshop was to enable experts from Israel and Turkey the establishment of a forum to deal with topics such as state responsibility and the boundaries of privatization. Experts from both countries discussed and evaluated the privatization processes in each country:

Who benefits and who loses from privatization? Has privatization succeeded or failed in different sectors? Are there untouchable sectors which should remain under government control? and more.
