Around 40 alumni of the Politikva ultra-Orthodox Course met on the evening of November 4th to discuss serious issues with Labor Party leader Avi Gabbay in a relaxed atmosphere.
The event took place in the private home of an alumni in Ramat Gan. This atmosphere gave the chance to discuss with Gabbay and the party leader was eager to answer the questions of the graduates. From the results and implications of the municipal elections, to educational issues, public transport on Shabbat and the peace process, many important issues were raised. Other topics included the election of the Knesset next year, as well as the perspectives of the Labor Party and the candidacy of Gabbay for the post of Prime Minister.
The event was designed exclusively for the graduates of our renowned Politikva course. The former participants of the course had the opportunity to exchange their thoughts with the guest of honor and gain valuable insights into Israeli politics.
The Politikva courses “Haredim for the state” are especially aimed at young, ultra-orthodox Jews who are interested in political events. The course will familiarize participants with the various facets of Israeli society from a social democratic perspective.
