
On Thursday November 24, 2016, Prof. Rasem Khamaisi, Director of the Jewish-Arab Center at Haifa University, presented the results of the Study he completed in cooperation with FES Israel on the subject of Developing “Public Space and Landscape in Arab Localities in Israel: Eliminating Barriers and Undertaking Development Challenges”.
The Research examines the subject of the lack of open public spaces in Arab Localities and tries to demonstrate how local Authorities cope with improving their appearance.
The Publication analyzes the impact of lack of Public Space on the Functionality of Localities as physical and communal Environment and its’ impact on the Perpetuation of the Perception of Failure and Weakness.
The Research also suggests policy recommendations for the improvement of Arab Localities.
