Commemorating Holocaust Seminar -4How is the Holocaust commemorated and presented in the 21st century in Israel and abroad?
Experts from Poland, Germany, Austria and Israel dealt with this issue at the international conference “Changes in Representation of the Holocaust in Museums and Memorial Sites in Israel and Abroad in the 21st Century”. The conference was organized in cooperation between the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Israel, the Massuah International Institute for Holocaust Studies and the Polish Institute and took place at the Massuah Institute.

International experts from different fields, such as curators, historians and architects, spoke about recent developments in the USA, Germany, Poland and Israel and presented insights to innovative approaches.

The event was rounded up by the screening of Paweł Pawlikowski’s film “Ida” (2013).
