GermanyIsrael50yearsLogoCurrent Perspectives on the Shaping of Memory, House of Wannsee Conference, June 2015 - 1On the occasion of 50 years of diplomatic relations between Germany and Israel, the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in cooperation with the House of the Wannsee Conference Memorial and Educational Site, the Massuah International Institute for Holocaust Studies initiated two Events in Berlin.

The first one was an open Event and Discussion, on June 24th at the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, in which Experts  discussed various perspectives on the subject: Germany and Israel – Coping with the Past and Configurating the Future.

The second Event was a Seminar on the topic: “Current Perspectives on the Shaping of Memory in Israel and Germany and the Challenges of Education in the Coming Decade”, which hosted leading academic experts from Israel and Germany who discussed issues of Shaping Memory and Educational Challenges with professionals, students, practitioners in the field of remembrance and education at the House of the Wannsee Conference Memorial and Educational Site in Berlin.
