Not all Israelis enlist in the army immediately after graduation. Some choose a year of service in pre-military preparatory schools. In collaboration with the Yigal Alon Center, the World Zionist Organization, the Shalom Hartman Institute and the Pre-Military Preparatory Council, FES Israel is promoting the “EMDA” program for instructors in pre-military preparatory schools.

Meeting No. 2 of the training program numbered about 20 participants and dealt with the question “How do we translate our values into educational activities in the preparatory school?”.

The participants acquire in the workshops pedagogical tools for dealing with issues such as the relationship between Arabs and Jews, social justice and gender justice. Even during the program, they initiate projects such as intercultural encounters with the help of acquired knowledge and promote initiatives and ideas of the preparatory schools themselves.

We wish success to all program participants.
