
At the start of the summer semester a new gender mainstreaming course was started at the Sapir College in Sderot. The course is held in cooperation with the AdvaCenter and the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Israel. The participants meet every week on Tuesday between 4 and 7 PM. The course takes place during the entire summer semester.
The goal of the program is to critically examine the socio-economic situation in Israel and to propose a gender perspective on the various policy areas and on the different impact of socio-economic policy and the budget on women and men.
As part of the program, the students will undertake a practical project in which they will plan and present implementation of gender mainstreaming in budgets and public policy. Each project will be carried out in pairs or threes. Each session will include a theoretical lecture as well as a practical workshop in which the students will work, with guidance and guidance, on the design and construction of the practical projects.
