We are proud to invite you to a special panel in the framework of the Jerusalem Women’s Film Festival to discuss a newly published and unique report in Israel – „The Celluloid Ceiling – A Gender-Based Analysis of The Israeli Film Industry“ – that deals with gender inequality in the Israeli film industry, starting with student films, through full-length feature films, and up to awards bestowed to feature and documentary films.

The report is a joint publication of the Adva Center, the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung and the Israeli Directors’ Guild.

During the panel, we will discuss the findings of the report, its significance and recommendations for improvement of the situation in the future.
