On Friday, 03.04.2020, 37 Social Economics course participants presented the projects they are working on as a part of a practicum in the public sector to their colleagues, mentors, and social economy experts through short presentations. In the spirit of the times, the meeting took place in Zoom software. The program is organized by the Social-Economic Academy in collaboration with the Berl Katznelson Foundation and the FES Israel and enables students from Tel Aviv University and the Hebrew University to implement socio-economic projects in collaboration with public sector institutions.
In addition to the Ministry of Economy, the current project partners include the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Health and the Prime Minister’s Office. This year, the students presented, among other topics, studies on improving manpower planning in teaching, changing demand for hospitalization in light of the establishment of a new hospital and implementing smart transportation in Israel.
Following the presentations, discussions were held on the results and suggestions for improvement were raised.
We are very pleased with the great commitment of the course participants and wish everyone a successful end to the various projects.
