Event Type

  • Israel-German/European Relations

Shared progressive values and solidarity among friends were key factors for continuing the trialogue between Israel, the US and Germany; a trialogue which is organized by the think tanks of MITVIM – Israeli Institute for Regional Policies, Middle East Institute and FES. Politicians, NGO representatives and academics gathered this time in Berlin after previous workshops in Washington (2015) and Jerusalem (2016).

Points of focus were foreign and security policy challenges that Israel, the US and Germany currently face. Another emphasis was put on the three countries` mutual relations, their respective societies and strategies to confront worrying developments. Mutual information, common learning and the exchange of know-how were central to the event.
