Peace and Security Dialogue

The conflict between Israel and the Palestinians is still on-going. In our work we want to ensure that voices for peace do not fall silent – even in times of crisis.

We strengthen political, economic, social and cultural ties between Israel and its neighbors by providing platforms for exchange, promoting Israeli-Palestinian networks, conducting research and informing the public.

Since the Oslo Accords in 1993 the peace process between Israel and the Palestinians has failed to produce a permanent solution. Instead a Second Intifada broke out in 2000, Hamas started bombing the Southern part of Israel with rockets and Israel reciprocated the terror coming from Gaza with several military actions in the Gaza strip, the most recent one being operation Protective Edge in summer 2014. The gap and mistrust between the parties makes it necessary to look for new ideas and to foster communication channels between Israel and the Palestinians on all levels as well as between Israel and regional stakeholders such as Egypt, Jordan and Turkey. In addition, a strong commitment of both the US and Europe to the peace process is essential.

We work with numerous non-governmental organizations and think tanks as well as universities and research institutions in order to develop new strategies, to reach out to experts, multipliers, policy-makers and the general public and to foster all available communication channels between the parties. Our goal is to develop sustainable solutions together with our Israeli, Palestinian and European partners, and to contribute to a public discussion which supports a two-state solution for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
