Challenges to Democracy and Social Cohesion

This publication provides a summary of an Israeli-American-German Trialogue organized in cooperation with the think tanks MITVIM – Israeli Institute for Regional Policies, the Middle East Institute in Jerusalem in April 2016.

The conference addressed challenges to democracy and social cohesion in Israel, Germany, and the US, and included
a roundtable discussion on recommendations to counter anti-democratic trends and clarify a path for multilateral progressive partnerships. Discussion focused on challenges in the political, legislative, and public spheres.

Participants at the Conference were politicians, representatives of leading think tanks and former diplomats.
